Pass data from URL to hidden fields

Hi all

I'm trying to pre-populate some hidden fields by passing some data from the URL.

I've done this before, 3 years ago, but the same method appears not to work.

The hidden fields just remain blank.

The guidance pages on it seem to have disappeared too.

Is there still a way to do this?

atomicpower I just tried this in Machform version 18.1 and it seems to work just fine. The documentation for using URL parameters is still available, see the link below.

Using URL Parameters to Populate Form Fields

Make sure you are using a Hidden field and not an Admin Only field. Admin Only fields don't store default values or allow you to fill them with URL parameters. I really don't understand why. It seems that Admin Only fields can only be filled when editing an entry after it has been submitted.
