steve_schuckman You have this backwards. Just copy and paste your sample code into Machform and click on your links and you will see that the anchor tag with the text "This works" produces the following error:
Not Found
The requested URL was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
The anchor tag with the text "This does not work" does work, opening the site: example.com.
If you want to type working anchor tags in Machform, just use the "quote key" (also called "straight quote") on your keyboard (with "Shift", to produce a straight double quote) when typing directly into the Machform web interface and your anchor tags and other html code should work fine. You can type anchor tags or a few other types of html codes into Machform anywhere you can type text. However, be very careful! If you make a mistake in your html code (especially if you forget to close a tag), your form can start exhibiting major problems. Work with html code in test forms and only copy and paste your code into a "production form" when you know it is working.
If you type into a word processor like MS Word that changes "straight quotes" into "curly quotes" (sometimes called "smart quotes") and copy and paste into Machform, then your anchor tags will not work. If you want to do your typing outside of Machform and copy and paste you text in, then use a text processor, such as Notepad in Windows or TextEdit (set to use plain text) on the Macintosh.
