Managing Uploads

It would be great if there were a way to manage uploads. If you have lots of forms, it is very time-consuming to find the form id, FTP into the data folder, and find the form to manage uploads. For example, clearing out uploads over a year old, finding which folders are taking up the most space, etc.

Wouldn't a program like FileZilla or WinSCP be a better use? I believe both of them report file size and date created.

Machform lays out the forms really well (from oldest to newest I believe), wouldn't it be easier to just delete the forms from the interface Machform provides? I might be miss-understanding the question though.

Well, I found that deleting forms doesn't delete the data folder. I have about a 100 forms, but over 235 data folders, which I believe are from old deleted forms. So you are left with a manual mess to clean up.

On my original question, I am now deleting manually, but it would nice to have something in the interface were you can purge file downloads older than a certain date.

I didn't realize that the data files were being kept. It would be nice if when you deleted a form then data for that form disappeared as well.

There is a setting in the configuration file config.php that controls this. If you change this setting, as described in the documentation from Machform that can be seen by visiting the link below, when you delete a form all of the data collected by the form will also be deleted, including all of the uploaded files, if any. Unfortunately, this won't help you with "leftover" data and files from existing forms that have already been deleted. Also, this setting will always apply to all forms from that point on, no matter who deletes them, so you lose the "safety net" the default setting gives you when someone deletes a form by mistake.
