With the introduction of GDPR, site owners are obliged to delete personal data that is no longer needed, or after a certain interval.
As part of a course sign-up form using machform we collect registration data along with additional consent for specific issues, for example:
– signing up to a newsletter (Mailchimp)
– agreeing to appear in photos of course activities
On the one hand, we want to be able to delete personal information we no longer need to keep on file and on the other, we are required to keep a record of consent given.
Is it possible to extract certain form information and pass just that information automatically into a second machform database, e.g.
– mailchimp signup
– photography consent with name, date and form name into another machform.
That way the main registration forms can be deleted but we can keep an aggregated running list of consent given or refused from several course application forms.
I looked at the notification option to pass onto another form and that suggests both options might be possible. I'd be grateful for any pointers.
Also, is it possible to do BOTH – mailchimp signup AND data transfer to another machform – from the output of the same registration form?
