Multiple emails are being sent based on one form submission -- 6 or seven days later!
When a person registers for a course, they have the option to pay via PayPal - or to mail a check. When they mail a check, the logic directs them to the confirmation page, thus skipping PayPal. Payment is set up to send a confirmation email whether the transaction is paid or not.
When the person registers, the workshop manager and the client receive an email - immediately. This works reliably. However, recently, the workshop manager has been getting an extra copy of that email -- sometimes a week later. This happens in the case of PayPal payments (which were successfully completed a week ago), and in the case of Check payments (which are still marked as unpaid).
Another way to look at it... When she gets the emails, they are numbered by submission -- 1, 2, 3, etc. Lately, she's been getting repeats of numbers -- even though we're up to #30 and #31, she's getting #6 and #18 resent to her.
I checked the ipnerrorlog.php file - the only errors are from 2014 and 2015... nothing recent.
Plus, it's not really about PayPal, because some of these duplicated emails are for 'check' payments that people are mailing.
Does anybody have experience with this? Is there a way to initiate a debug log to find out why the program is sending extra emails?
Thanks.
