I know this has been asked before, and the usual response is "why would you want to do that?". I get it, its a reasonable question to ask. In my situation there are two use case's.
1) I have a form (not in production yet) that has a drop down of several support option submissions. One of them refers folks to a form that I do not control (different group). I want to only display an instruction banner (which I use section breaks for). In this situation I literally do not want the user to have a submit button. Right now if they click submit it sends them an email telling them what is in the instruction banner (...that they did not read).
2) Kind of like the first point - I want to basically fake a dynamic web page using form logic. I want to have users choose from a set of support options that would not need to be submitted but would show them a specific instruction banner based on their drop down selection.
I think I have seen in the forums where some manual code changes can be done to make the submit button be hidden but not being a coder myself I have not gotten that to work and (again not being a coder) would like that to be something in the GUI. I think the code change mentioned would affect all forms, not just specific ones.
I feel like this could be a form logic function like "if blah is chosen then do not show submit button" (again, not a coder so I don't know how hard that would really be).
I know this is not what MachForm is designed for but its a great piece of software and I'm hoping to extend its usefulness just a bit by doing what I have asked for above.
I currently use 4.8, and if this is a feature of 5.x I'll happily do the update. Thank you for your consideration.
