Well I guess I'm going to need to try the multiple instances of Machform then, because I already have a database that was in use before moving these forms over. Here's the scenario if it helps understand where I'm coming from:
I had a lot of issues trying to get Machform to work on one server to serve all clients, so I was having to install the Machform to my clients server accounts and now that I have worked out how to get the forms to work at one location for all, I need to move forms that are residing on my clients server accounts (most are hosted with me, and a couple are not). I have a domain that I set up specifically for serving up forms and a few other things to all my clients so that I can have one location rather than multiple ones, and also to help protect my license from clients that can sometimes get nasty and lock you out of things.
So ... now I'm needing to move forms from those clients server accounts, to the one I have set up, but ... I've been using this one that I have set up now for quite a few months for a number of forms and therefore it already has a database tied to it. I am not super knowledgeable when it comes to databases so I'm the first to say I have no idea what importing that database does. Does it combine with the database that was already in there? If so then I have no problems changing the database over to the one I just imported. But if it doesn't, then I'm confused as to why you would bother to import databases if you already have one and can only use one (except for new installs where you may be transferring files from another installation, that part I understand and this is similar, just a little bit more involved).
Hopefully that helps clarify further why the database part is confusing me as to what to do with it all. I'm going to assume, according to what you've told me, that I am not going to be able to change the config file to point to this other database since I do still need the one that it is currently set up for. And I'm going to assume that the multiple instances of Machform is what I'm going to need to do ... unless you tell me of course, that the import combined the 2 databases, which would make me even happier not to have to go through all the work of setting up a second instance of Machform lol. I do have an unlimited license, so I would assume that will make it ok to do what I need to do.
