Hello, we have machform installed on a couple of websites (hosting by godaddy), and all recent entries that have been actually paid for are shown as unpaid entries (approx. 2 dozens, and it keeps growing). As they are unpaid, no machform confirmation is sent to the buyers, which is annoying and creating lots of manual workload.
It seems that machform has suddenly stopped to communicate with PayPal to get the real time actual payment status of a payment (everything was fine until yesterday).
When we manually send the confirmations, the emails go through without a problem, but it's a lot of hassle having to do what the software can do, and usually does so conveniently.
It is just to make others aware that sometimes this happens.
We've been using Machform for several years now with great pleasure.
That said, we have run into this problem a couple of times (e.g. 2014 Oct, 2015 Feb).
1, The forms do use a different email address for payment from our own domain, but it should not be a problem as it has not been a problem most of the time.
2, until yesterday if something was unpaid, it was either actually unpaid, or belated due to echeck, this is not the case now.
3, we experience the same issue for multiple affiliate partners with different email addresses for various forms, which normally work fine as they are all set to accept payments automatically via PayPal, and they all went down at the same time, about 4 hours ago or so on March 14.
4, PayPal keeps sending the payment notification to buyers, and also our partners (who actually receive the payment), however, our machform cannot see them, as it stopped updating the payment status (everything is UNPAID)
This is what Yuniar sent in Feb 2015: "What happened with your previous entry, most likely there was some temporary glitch with the server or with the PayPal IPN. To see exactly, you'll need to ask your affiliate to check into his PayPal account, go into the History->IPN History menu. Then find the record with the matching transaction id. There should be detailed error message there.
If you could let me know the error message, this would be helpful. ... If the IPN data wasn't being sent by PayPal, then your machform won't be able to get any Transaction ID."
My problem is that PayPal IPN data was not sent for multiple email addresses we use for various form, which belong to our various partners.
Do you have any idea how to sort out the overall problem instantly?
Anyone else out there facing the same unpaid / paid issue?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Anna
ps: we have Machform 4.8 version, pro
