I wanted to place a feature request for being able to insert a nicely designed button (or buttons) into a form.
The purpose of these buttons would be to either link to an external URL/File, or if also possible, allow for the user to directly upload a file into Machform and be tied to the button.
Being able to orient the button to be centered would be useful as well as having the ability to possibly configure multiple buttons within one "Button" field (similar to how the Checkbox/Dropdown fields work where you can configure multiple options within a single instance of that field type).
The use case here is that a few times each year I put together a new copy of a form I've reused several times now for our teacher's union since I help them create a form they can send to the teachers so they can vote Yes/No on a new contract agreement.
At the top of the form (in the Form Description area) what I do currently is I'll manually type out an HTML link after already taking their PDF of the new agreement and uploading it into our main website so I can get a URL which I then place into the HTML link I wrote out manually on the Machform side. It doesn't a very long time to do all of this, but that's also because I have a quick way to upload the files somewhere else and know my way around creating HTML links, etc. One of my typical users on campus that may want to create their own forms in Machform wouldn't be as successful so having a built-in Button field and upload capability would be helpful for non-technical users.
In a lot of ways I was hoping the newer Media field would meet this need but it's tailored more around adding an Image or video rather than easily adding a File/Button to the form.
A few additional requests related to the above information:
There currently isn't an option in Machform to be able to hide a Field Label. For example with the Media field, it's default label is "Media" and it would show above the Image/Video. You can clear out the Field Label entirely, which automatically removes the whitespace above the video correctly, but the drawback is that now you don't have a Label which you may still want to have "behind the scenes".
Also, reordering fields using the drag and drop option in Machform can sometimes be unwieldy when you have a lot of fields (I have a form with over 70). In these cases, it would be nice to have an option built-in to the settings area for a field where you could simply provide a position number to move the current field to rather than needing to click and drag a field up/down multiple screens (the issue here I've run into is that sometimes the click is lost so the field you are trying to move is dropped in the wrong position and the mouse picks up another field and moves it and that can lead to confusion as to where that field was originally).
